MIREYA FOUNDATION is a registered Charitable Organisation with an aim to educate children coming from low-income backgrounds and also work on multiple fronts.
Mireya Foundation has organized multiple eye check-up camps within various societies and for a German-based technology company. These camps were designed to provide accessible eye care to residents and employees, ensuring early detection of eye-related issues and promoting overall eye health. By bringing healthcare directly to the community, we aimed to make essential medical services available to those who might otherwise lack access.
Outcome
Through these camps, we successfully covered over 300 residents and 100 employees. The initiative not only provided necessary eye care but also raised awareness about the importance of regular eye check-ups, leading to better long-term eye health in the communities we served.
Education on Wheels
The "Education on Wheels" initiative is one of Mireya Foundation’s flagship projects aimed at providing education and awareness sessions to children and adults living in slums across Pune. This mobile education program reaches out to underprivileged communities, delivering lessons on societal topics and essential life skills, empowering them with knowledge that can help improve their living conditions and opportunities.
Outcome
This project has made significant strides in bringing education to those who need it most, covering five slums within Pune. By imparting crucial knowledge to these communities, we are taking small but impactful steps towards our larger goal of "education for all."
Pandemic Relief Efforts
During the peak of the pandemic, Mireya Foundation was actively involved in supporting social workers and vulnerable communities. We distributed tea, snacks, masks, and medicines to those on the frontlines, helping to alleviate some of the challenges they faced during this difficult time. Our efforts were focused on ensuring that essential supplies reached those in need, including healthcare workers, police officers, and other essential service providers.
Outcome
Our contributions during the pandemic were recognized with various awards, underscoring the impact of our work in providing relief and support to those who were tirelessly working to keep our communities safe.
Regular Food Distribution
Mireya Foundation has been consistently involved in food distribution efforts, particularly aimed at the needy, disabled schools, and the LGBTQIA+ community. These drives also include distributing blankets during colder months and conducting awareness sessions on nutrition and hygiene. Our goal is to ensure that the most vulnerable populations have access to basic necessities, helping to improve their quality of life.
